As a humorously entertaining prolific proficient copywriter, I like to come up with tasteful subjects for my Readers. And today’s blog is hopefully no exception, as long as you don’t consider wearing a dress made entirely of raw meat to be inappropriate attire when you’re being honored at an industry event. That’s the outfit pop icon Lady Gaga wore when she was bringing home the bacon at the 2010 Music Video Awards in last September.

The meat dress Lady Gaga wore to the 2010 Video Music Video Awards included a meat hat, lace up shoes and a matching raw purse.
But The Lady who goes Gaga was not setting any new trends. I, for one, “wear my dinner” quite often. Or when I’m DWM. (Driving with McDonald’s) And beyond that, according to the Wall Street Journal, designers have been whipping up a buffet of fashion made out of food ever since a trade show called Le Salon du Chocolate put on a fashion show in Paris where all the outfits were fashioned out of chocolate.
Food as Fashion can be quite entertaining
In fact, the trend goes back even farther than that, I just didn’t feel like rewriting the previous paragraph. (Hey, I said I was a proficient copywriter. I never said I wasn’t lazy!)
In 2009, for a photography series entitled “Hunger Pains” commissioned by photographer Ted Sabarese, costumer maker Ami Goodheart designed a lovely skirt made of rump-roast slices cut into flower petals.
“Does my butt look big?
“I can’t tell. You’re wearing it.”
Ms. Goodheart’s other designs at the show included a pasta body suit, trousers made from waffles, and a cocktail dress with a matching hat and handbag made from chocolate. Yummm.
Here, for your enjoyment and dining pleasure, are numerous examples of food as clothing. Enjoy! Bon appetite!

Artist, chocolatier, confectioner and proprietor Frances Cooley from Bristol, UK creates gorgeous chocolate shoes. These fabulous shoes are handcrafted and styled in the finest Belgian chocolate.

Waffles: What to wear when you dine at IHOP. "Hey, are your shorts waffling or are you just glad to see me?"

Cloris Leachman wore a cabbage dress when she was the spokes-vegetable for PETA. Now I don't want to tarnish my brand image, but I'm a card-carrying member of PETA. Yup, People Eating Tasty Animals.
Well, that’s all for today, Readers. As always, I appreciate your stopping by.
If you don’t mind, it would be helpful if you could leave me a COMMENT from time to time. That helps me attract traffic to my blog. Even if you only leave a two-word COMMENT like “Nice Job” or “This Stinks,” it helps me.
I’m not the best person to explain why it helps my SEO (that’s Latin for search engine optimization). If you want to know more about SEO, ask an online networking SEO expert like Larry Brauner, or a Do It Yourself Web e-Marketing SEO expert like Michael Yublosky. Or ask the SEO expert’s expert Al Gorithm. That Know-It-All always has an answer. For everything.
